Brienz/Brinzauls is situated on a natural sun terrace on the road between Lenzerheide and Davos at an altitude of around 1,150m.
The former municipality of Brienz/Brinzauls is situated on a terrace on the road between Lantsch/Lenz and Davos at an altitude of around 1,150m. The area also includes the hamlet of Vazerol located on the old Julierstrasse/Septimerstrasse (Obere Strasse). Brienz/Brinzauls was first mentioned back in 840 as Brienzola. The former municipality has had its German-Romansh double name since 1 January 1997.
