Madulain
Intro
For those who are looking for peace and quiet, Madulain is the place to go. The smallest commune in the upper Engadine has no more than 200 inhabitants, but the special charm of its typical Engadine houses and cultivated Rhaeto-Romanic culture is all the more convincing.
The sunny village of Madulain is situated at the idyllic Inn river, far from any hustle and bustle. Even though there’s nothing pretentious about it, it impresses, among other things, with the largest fortress of the upper Engadine, the Guardaval ruins dating from the 13th century.
