In the heart of the Valais Chablais, the Region Dents du Midi lies in the middle of the large Portes du Soleil ski area. A large outdoor playground for active guests, it offers fantastic views of the surrounding mountain ranges with peaks over 3,000m high and a wide range of activities throughout the year.

The Region Dents du Midi is located in Val d’Illiez and is part of the Portes du Soleil ski area. It extends over six holiday villages in beautiful, wide-open landscapes with unique flora and varied fauna.

Summer visitors can explore the Val d’Illiez in many different ways. On foot on more than 800km of hiking trails, by bike on 600km of mountain bike trails or by enjoying the terrace of a simple mountain hut or savouring upscale starred cuisine. In winter, pristine valleys with mysterious fir forests and 600km of slopes for all levels of difficulty await. The high peaks can be climbed at any time of the year, with views of the Dents du Midi, the Dents Blanches, Mont Blanc or Lake Geneva throughout. 

Largest cross-border ski area in the world
With 12 unique ski resorts on the French and Swiss sides, the Portes du Soleil is the largest cross-border ski area in the world. Originally only planned as a winter tourism spot, the region has also developed into an important summer destination with almost limitless opportunities for hiking, cycling and trail running.
