Ambience:
There are eight solid rooms with double bed and shower/WC as well as group accommodation and some twin and four bed rooms with a shared shower. After a day in the fresh air, Europe’s highest outdoor Jacuzzi is the perfect place to relax. In one way or another, a trip up the mountain whets your appetite, and the panoramic restaurant Bellavista as well as the self-service restaurant will help with that. Depending on the temperature and the wind, guests can sit outside on the terrace and enjoy the sun. A highlight for ski enthusiasts: around four times every winter at full moon, guests get to enjoy a dinner at the Diavolezza mountain restaurant followed by a descent of the tranquil ski slopes to the valley.
Location:
Located at 2,978 metres above sea level on the Diavolezza, the starting point of Switzerland’s longest glacier descent (10 kilometres) to the Morteratsch Rhaetian Railway (Rhb) station.
Cuisine:
Dishes from Graubünden and Valtellina: Engadine alpine cheese with pear bread, barley soup, pizzoccheri with potatoes and Swiss chard, spaghetti Bolognese, Rösti with dried sausages (“Salsiz”) and fried egg, cordon bleu with Rösti croquettes and vegetables, cheese fondue, apple strudel with vanilla sauce.
