Intro
The Glasi Museum "Shaped by fire" is dedicated to the history of glass and the Glasi Hergiswil.
The Glasi Museum "Shaped by fire" is dedicated to the history of glass and the Glasi Hergiswil. Staged rooms depict the development of the craft and the economic ups and downs of the company. The "Phenomenal Glass" exhibition includes around 70 manipulable experiments with glass, a park with a marble run, marble playing fields and a quartz sandpit. The archive contains a systematic collection of Hergiswil glass since 1817, with a focus on series glass from 1900-1974, as well as the complete Roberto Niederer collection.
A new addition to the Glasi experience is Switzerland's only glass labyrinth. An experience that visitors can walk through and grasp, which expresses the fascination of glass. Visitors are not just spectators, they are participants and immerse themselves in a world of glass. A special light show and specially composed Glasi music enhance the unique experience.
