Europe's highest open-air cog railway has been transporting visitors from Zermatt to the summit of Gornergrat at 3,089 metres above sea level since 1898. Every second of the 9,339 metre-long, 33-minute journey is an incomparable delight. The Photo-Spot is open all year round and included in the ticket price. It offers one of the best views of the Matterhorn and 28 other peaks over 4,000 metres, including the Monte Rosa massif and the highest mountain in Switzerland, the Dufourspitze which stands at 4,634 metres above sea level.

Good architecture is not only self-evident, instead as important to the city as the bend in the Rhine. Here you have buildings by international stars like Frank Gehry or Zaha Hadid – and the world-famous Basel-based duo Herzog & de Meuron. Anyone keen on architecture is in their element here, and able to follow one of three architectural paths.

The Snowpark Sportarena is centrally located in the biggest spa and wellness resort in the Alps in Leukerbad. Although it was specially designed for children from 2.5 - 6 years old, visitors of all ages will have a great time here.

The Lindenhof is a beautiful and relaxing oasis in the middle of the city of Zurich. From there you have a wonderful view of the old town with the Grossmünster, the Limmat, Lake Zurich and the mountains.

Since 2006, visitors have been able to ascend the first 685 meters of the Grütschalp (1481 meters) by aerial cable car.
