Intro

What better way to treat oneself to something special on a journey than to travel 1st class from time to time?

On SBB trains, there are two main classes of travel: first class and second class.

1st class coaches offer more comfort with wider, individually adjustable seats and generous legroom. 1st class also comes with a few thoughtful extras such as power sockets right at your seat, Wi-Fi and coaches with quiet and business zones.

2nd class offers a slightly lower level of comfort and amenities, with narrower seats and a higher seating density. Both classes have access to on-board amenities such as restrooms and luggage storage.

Passengers can choose to travel 1st class aboard Swiss boats as well. The 1st class is usually located on the upper deck, offering a great view of the passing landscape.
