Einleitung
A wild but idyllic place, from where you can only hear the wind blowing through the high peaks, the fir branches and the laughter of close family and friends. Right here Melanie and Gabriel swore eternal love to each other. Pure Swissness, mountains, a small lake, colorful wildflowers all in one place - theses are the essences which make Elopements in Switzerland even more priceless!
Preamble of the elopement
The two had never thought of having an intimate wedding until the pandemic threw a wrench in their wedding plans abroad. They didn't want to wait until the uncertain situation returned to normal. Friends and family helped organize and carry food and drinks up to the chosen ceremony location. The couple started their big day with the getting ready and a first look of the city of Bern, the capital of Switzerland. After the official registration they took the cars up to the mountain lake “Gantrisch”, where friends and family were already eagerly waiting for the newlyweds.
About the day
Wedding designers GAEA.DESIGN fulfilled Melanie’s wish of a lush and fitting pampas bouquet for her big day. The flowers should sparkle just like her smile and dress! On the shore of the lake, the couple made it official and exchanged their personally-written vows. They toasted with champagne and sang together to seal the vow of love. The two were accompanied by the talented photographer Eliano Davide Photography. With his keen eye for detail and telling a wonderful love story, he made Melanie and Gabriel’s elopement unforgettable. After the ceremony, the two drove back to Bern to a small one-room hotel “ZOLLHAUS”, an old custom house located on the famous Nydegg Bridge in the middle of the city, to start their new life chapter.
