Information
Description
Located in the heart of the lively Kleinbasel district, the Volkshaus Basel has established itself as a defining institution for gastronomy, events and the hotel industry since 1925. It is a place full of vibrant content: culinary delights, sustainable recreation, breathtaking architecture, inspiring art and memorable encounters. Filled to the brim with vibrant content, the hotel's values are characterized by hospitality, cosmopolitanism, tradition and innovation.
The brasserie forms the culinary heart of the Volkshaus Basel. Head chef Kevin Kirchmaier is responsible for a range of traditional classics from the "Cuisine du Marché", ingeniously mixed with avant-garde creations.
The interior of the brasserie, designed by the renowned architects Herzog & de Meuron, conveys a big city atmosphere without compromising on cosiness. Under a sea of hand-blown lights, with a view of the tree-covered courtyard and the works of important contemporary artists, you can forget everyday life and experience wonderful moments.
