Intro
With the mighty Moléson in view and the town of Gruyère left behind, you climb to the middle cableway station at Plan Francey. Then hike along the north-west flank of the Moléson and descend to the richly-forested pre-Alpine landscape of Les Paccots.

Description
Les Paccots is a family-friendly holiday resort between the Gruyère and Lake Geneva regions. The walk sets off from the village centre. After the first few kilometres uphill, it is worth taking a scenic detour to see the 5,000-year-old Lac des Joncs. This deep mountain lake is listed as an amphibian spawning area of national importance. With a bit of luck, you might see some endangered animals and plants – including common toads, red-eyed damselfly and plants such as the least water-lily, sundews and the marsh cinquefoil – along the lakeside path.
Across a short stretch of meadow, the trail soon turns into the forest. A path overgrown with roots leads up to Pont de Fégire. This is where La Veveyse de Fégire stream marks the border between the cantons of Fribourg and Vaud. The climb to Les Mossettes and Lally is particularly beautiful in spring when the flowers are in bloom: countless daffodils adorn the area at this time of year. With views of Lake Geneva and the surrounding mountain peaks, there is now a long descent down a flight of steps. When the thermal updrafts are right, paragliders take to the skies here.
Once in Blonay, you are back in civilisation. Past the Château de Blonay and the village of St. Légier, you will find yourself by the Veveyse stream again. This area has a gorge-like feel. The path winds under the motorway bridge to the vineyards above Corsier-sur-Vevey. This leg comes to an end a few minutes later in Corseaux.
