Biketicket to RIDE (rot)
Overview
Intro
In the area between Chur and Lenzerheide there are a lot of cableways with bike transportation. The Biketicket to Ride combines those into a fun enduro tour for anybody.
Description
Lenzerheide is the hub of the Biketicket to Ride. This is where you take the chairlift up to Piz Scalottas. Before you barrel down the mountain again, spend some time at the peak to savour the fantastic views of the Albula Valley and the Domleschg region. Riding up and down on small roads and trails, you reach Alp Stätz for a second time, but this time, you continue straightaway on the single trail downhill to Parpan. The upcoming return to Chur has to be earned. The route via Mittelberg to Fanülla is peppered with small ascents, but eventually, you start the 900 meter descent to Chur with some excellent views of the capital of the Grisons. The downhill ride ends near the base station of the Brambrüesch cableway. It is the starting point for the return to Lenzerheide. Take the next single trail just a short distance from the mountain station. The easily flowing path leads through the area above Malix and a small gravel road takes you to Churwalden – and the next gondola. From the mountain station near Alp Stätz a mix of mountain roads and single trails continues to Spoina and finally down to Heidsee lake. It is the perfect place to end the enjoyable single trail tour with a beer or an ice cream cone.
An enjoyable tour includes the careful planning of the same. Please inform yourself in advance at the local information center about the route and weather conditions. Depending on the season and weather conditions, this route may be blocked or interrupted
