Today's Bachtel lookout tower was built in 1986 and is 75 meters high. A viewing platform at 30 meters above ground offers beautiful views of Lake Zurich, the Linth Plain, the foothills of the Alps and the Alpstein mountain range.

Four observation towers jut out from the dense woodland surrounding Randen mountain: standing at 26 meters, the Beringer is the second highest of the Randen towers. The view stretches from Klettgau to the Alps.

The 30-meter Eschenberg Tower is located in the middle of the Eschenberg forest. In good weather, those without fear of heights are able to enjoy sweeping views from the top, ranging from the Alps to the Black Forest.

The Mont Pèlerin Television Tower is 122 meters high. It is Switzerland’s only television tower that is also an observation deck, which is accessible by elevator.

The highest point on the Belchenflue at 1,099m above sea level offers incomparable views over the Black Forest, the Vosges and the Alps. For the Celts, the Belchenflue was a marker for determining the positions of the sun, while in the First World War, it served as a key observation point for the Hauenstein fortification.

The “Passarelle” is a landscaped bridge suspended between the crowns of trees rooted in the forest below. At its end, a viewing platform is suspended in the empty space, offering its visitors a 180-degree-panoramic view of Lake Maggiore, the Centovalli and the Maggia Valley.

The Irchel Tower offers you a wonderful view across the entire wine country up to the Säntis and across the Flaach Valley up to Germany.

The 118-meter high Radio and Television Tower of Swisscom sits at the top.

The 15-minute ride aboard the colorful funicular to the Chaumont is a taste of the things to come atop the mountain.

The imposing 30-meter-high tower at Moron was designed by Mario Botta. The view from the top extends far across the first Jura chain up to the Alpine arc, from the Säntis to the Montblanc. In the north the Vosges and the Black Forest come into view.

The Hochwacht Reisiswil is one of the most beautiful excursion destinations in Oberaargau. Located at 780 metres above sea level, it offers impressive views, nature experience and relaxation away from the hustle and bustle. Surrounded by forests and rolling hills, the Hochwacht is an ideal place for day trips, hikes and enjoyable moments.

The Homberg overlooks the Seetal region and the adjacent Wynental valley. The views of snow-capped peaks, green pastures and deep blue lakes from the top of the tower are magnificent.

The Esterli Tower was built in 1974 by the local civic community. It replaces the tower built in 1905. The Esteri Tower is 49 meters high and consists of 19 concrete pipe elements. A staircase with 253 steps leads to the viewing platform, which is 45 meters above ground level. The platform is located at 602 meters above sea level.

The Jungfraujoch is not only an attractive vantage point, but also an ideal location for various research projects in the fields of geology, astronomy, and more.

The lookout tower was built in 2006 and is located on Hofberg, the highest point of the town of Wil. It was constructed entirely of wood with striking x-shaped supports and a 189-step double spiral staircase leading to the viewing platform.

The Pfannenstiel Tower was renovated in the summer of 2013 and has a turbulent history: The steel lattice tower was originally built on Bachtel mountain in 1893. Since it was not suitable as an aerial mast, it was reconstructed on the Pfannenstiel in 1992.

The water tower and the surrounding fields are among the most attractive green spaces in Basel. In early summer the area is dominated by large fields full of flowers where storks are frequent guests.

The Gempen tower is a gorgeous viewing platform and a popular destination for hikers, walkers, nature enthusiasts, and tourists.

High up on the «Stählibuck» mountain of Frauenfeld a steel giant of the same name is keeping watch: the Stählibuck Tower. With a height of 27 meters, it is a challenge for anybody who attempts to climb its 148 stairs.

Enjoy the view of 10 lakes and the Central Swiss mountains on the Fronalpstock. Hike on the panorama trail, dare to walk the tightrope or be impressed by the fantastic view from the viewing platform.

The Blueme Tower was built in 1984 with a height of 16.40 meters. From the top the views of the Jura mountains and the Bernese Alps are magnificent.
