  • Bees & Friends at Peaks Place Laax

Peaky Place – The Hedgehog Bike Hotel in Laax: Designed by mechanical engineer Josua Glünkin, Peaky Place is a miniature version of Peaks Place in Laax – tailored for hedgehogs who enjoy the forest trails before settling in for rest. Built from spruce wood, its jagged shape echoes the original hotel and blends seamlessly into the woodland. A cozy sleeping area in the back offers shelter, while two green rooftop sections provide food for insect and bird visitors. The playful highlight: a tiny pump track on the roof – just in case a little guest arrives on wheels.

  • Bees & Friends at rocksresort

At the rocksresort in Laax, conscious use of resources and the environment is a top priority. That's why the resort has created space for biological diversity and the promotion of biodiversity on its grounds, including small natural paradises for bees, insects and other species. Flowers and herbs bloom on the roofs for the resort's own tea blend, and numerous native wildflower meadows right next to the bee hotel provide the best food for the all-important wild bees, as well as a home for other insects and pollinators.

  • Bees & Friends at TCS Camping Thusis

Our bee hotel at TCS Camping was lovingly built in-house and has since become a home for bees, bumblebees and occasionally a few wasps. But that is not all: from deadwood we also created a cosy hedgehog house, deliberately designed as a shelter for the small nocturnal visitors. Several birdhouses are also hanging around the site, and in the common area even swallows nest. Step by step, the campsite is becoming a lively refuge for nature.

The structure stands at the edge of our beautiful hotel garden, in a sunny and easily visible spot designed to attract as many creatures as possible. Inspired by a mountain hut belonging to our neighbour, the insect hotel was lovingly built using natural materials. Our technical team regularly maintains it, replacing old elements and adding new ones to ensure it remains a welcoming refuge for insects of all kinds.

  • Bees & Friends at Hotel Schweizerhof Lenzerheide

In summer, the beehives stand in the meadow right in front of the Scalottas Terroir restaurant – four traditional wooden hives. During winter, they are kept with the beekeeper in Zorten. For butterflies, wild bees, and other insects, we’ve created a flowering strip in the BergAcker, which belongs to the restaurant. Situated in Lain at 1,300 metres above sea level, the BergAcker is cultivated using permaculture principles.
