In Valais, people never say “Grüezi” (Hi). You just say “Güeta Tag” (Good day). No wonder, after all, the days are good where the mountains are higher and the sun shines more often. The Saas Valley is famous for sunny hiking trails, snowy mountain tours and winter and summer sports. Strangely, the local people say “Güeten Abund” (good evening) from midday onwards. This may be because it feels like each day is going too fast. Every moment in this wonderful location should definitely be savoured!
