Criteria

Hotels in which the main building is at least 30 years old and of architectural significance are considered historic. Renovations are typically overseen by the Swiss conservation of historical monuments association or related organisations.

  • Hospitality business established over a sufficient time span

    The building and surroundings, rooms, furnishings, lighting etc. are primarily based on the historic original and provide a high-class historic experience.

    The Swiss conservation of historical monuments association is notified of structural modifications and oversees the renovation work.
