The Naturfreundehaus La Châtelaine is situated in the Bernese Jura (Switzerland), on the plateau of Les Pontins, between St-Imier and the Chasseral, at 1150 m above sea level. The group accommodation is idyllically situated inmidst of Jura meadows and offers an ideal infrastructure for schools, groups, clubs, families - for you! In this wonderful place you are in complete harmony with nature. The Naturfreundehaus La Châtelaine offers 36 sleeping places, 3 common rooms, a large kitchen electric stove, hot water showers; as well as the outdoor area with fireplace, playground and sports field with basketball basket, volleyball net, mini soccer goals, table tennis table and comfortable seats. Excursions: Chasseral + Doubs Nature Park, Trott'energy Mont-Soleil, Mont-Soleil solar power station, Mont-Crosin wind farm, Le Locle underground mills, La Chaux-de-Fonds watch museum, Camille Bloch Courtelary chocolate factory. For hikes, start right in front of your door. For example: down the valley through a fairytale forest into the famous Combe-Crède gorge; over Jura pastures to the Chasseral with fantastic views over the three lakes and the Alps; via Les Pontins to the ruins of Erguel Castle. Summer activities: hiking, climbing, biking, botanical excursions.
