A cosy, family-friendly youth hostel in the lakeside town of Romanshorn in the canton of Thurgau, with the shimmering Lake Constance within walking distance? What more could you want? The Thurgau region has much more to offer than just its special strawberry tartlets, or “Erdbeertörtli”, which the locals affectionally pronounce as “Eodbeotöotli”. An abundance of marked cycling, skating and hiking trails are a great way to enjoy the delights of Lake Constance. The lake boasts a legendary 273 kilometres of shoreline in three countries. The lakeside town of Romanshorn is located on the Swiss side of the lake. With its lakeside cafés and beach restaurants, it truly is the Eldorado of leisurely active holidays.
