50 historic military vehicles visit Neunkirch

For many years, the Museum im Zeughaus has organized an annual outing with around 50 historic military motor vehicles. These wheeled vehicles are on average around 70 years old and are all licensed as veteran vehicles. On these trips, the vehicles are generally driven over a distance of 40 to 80 km. This helps to avoid damage to the vehicle. At the same time, this is a good opportunity for the responsible motorists to improve their driving experience in historic vehicles. The extremely photogenic vehicles vividly represent the motorization of the Swiss army and the technological development of Swiss commercial vehicles in the 20th century. They always meet with a great and positive response from young and old on the road and at the exhibition site.

The tour starts at 08:30 at Ratihard 1 in Diessenhofen, the second location of the Museum im Zeughaus. From there, the ride goes via Langwiesen - Feuerthalen - Schaffhausen - Neuhausen - Kreisel Enge - Beringen - Löhningen - Siblingen - Gächlingen - to Neunkirch (distance 23 km).

The vehicles will be presented in an attractive exhibition at the schoolhouse and on Schulstrasse in Neunkirch from 10 am to 3 pm. Visitors can take a tour in a historic military vehicle. A museum pub will also be open. The Unterklettgau music community will give a concert at 12 noon.

The return journey to Diessenhofen starts at 3 p.m. and runs from Neunkirch via Löhningen - Beringen - Neuhausen - Schaffhausen - Feuerthalen - Paradies - Schlatt back to the museum.

The Museum im Zeughaus is open as usual at the Schaffhausen site from 10 am to 4 pm. The Diessenhofen site is closed due to the departure of the vehicles stationed there.
