Intro
The popular swimming event will take place on August 15, 2026 (alternative date: August 22). It is the only time of the year when it is legal to swim in the Limmat.
In 2026, we will be celebrating 25 years of partnership with our main sponsor ewz. The 60th Zurich Limmat Swim is scheduled for 15 August (possibly a week later).
The Limmat Swim traditionally starts with the ewz Challenge at 12 noon.
Afterwards, the Limmat is available for fun swimmers. We offer both clothing transportation and the Limmatbag, which was introduced in 2025. The latter can be used to transport clothes in the water and serves as a practical city or trekking bag on land.
Please note the different starting sectors. You can register for specific sectors.
