6nd Maloja Lake Run
Overview
Intro
A race for every runner, whether experienced trail runner or beginner. Everyone can enjoy the run and thus kick off the autumn running season or bring the summer running season to a delightful close.
Those who prefer something more leisurely can complete the run in pairs in a relay.
The route:
First it goes on the wide forest path from Maloja to Isola. At the end of Isola, you continue to Sils on the narrow path along the bank over hill and dale. Instead of continuing to the village of Sils, the path follows the lake shore and branches off just before Chastè Turn towards Maloja main road. A few meters lead over asphalt and over the main road before the heart of the run is imminent. It runs along the Via Engiadina with far-reaching views over Lake Sils and the surrounding mountains to Grevasalvas. From the Heidi village, the Maiensssiedlung above Plaun da Lej, the path continues on a wide section to the second Maiensssiedlung, Blaunca. Once arrived in Blaunca it means ? run and be careful when descending. The descent to Maloja is via Pila and the Pro Natura Reserve. At Atelier Segantini, the finish line is in sight and a fine autumnal lunchtime awaits the runners.
