76th Weissenstein Schwinget
Overview
Intro
The Weissenstein Schwinget is one of the exclusive group of six mountain wrestling festivals and is therefore an event of national significance.
On Saturday, July 17, 2027, the historic Weissenstein Schwinget will be held for the 76th time. The Weissenstein is marked on the map as 1,284 meters high. The unforgettable panoramic view across the Mittelland to the majestic Bernese Alps provides an incomparable backdrop, seemingly created to preserve old traditions such as Swiss wrestling. The Weissenstein Schwinget belongs to the exclusive circle of the six “Bergkranz” festivals and is thus an event of national significance. The festival on Solothurn’s local mountain is a major crowd-puller every year and ranks among the highlights of the Schwing festival calendar.
