Overview
Intro
The traditional Alpine descent with the crowning of the Alpine Queen and traditional country music is a highlight.
When the alpine summer comes to an end, the farmers lead their cattle back down into the valley. Every year, many enthusiastic spectators marvel at the traditionally decorated cows as they make the long journey to Blatten.

Program07.00 a.m. Driving off the cows from Belalp
09.00 hrs Start of the festival and market with alpine cheese and many other market stalls at the festival site near the valley station in Blatten
11.00 a.m. Arrival of the Hérens cows, goats, sheep, herdsmen, alpine dairymen, flag-wavers, traditional floats and the Aletsch yodelling club, Challeclub Riederalp, at the fairground in Blatten by the valley station
14.00 Chaschperlitheater: "Vero saves the shepherd's festival"
15.00 Coronation of the Belalp Alpine Queen
The festivities are accompanied by traditional country music.
There is also something for the little onesChildren's face painting, various games and bouncy castles are offered on this special day for children.
