Tasting the typical specialities of our valleys, observing the manual skills of our grandparents or trying to interact in their daily lives are the ingredients of this event set in the past.
The chestnut will be the logical ambassador for tradition and can be enjoyed in a multitude of ways.
There will also be a typical market of handicraft products and local flavours.
The festival will take place on Ascona's lakeside on Saturday 3 October; the traditional Chestnut Festival will be held on Saturday 10 October.
