Christmas Market

The Avenches Christmas Market, organised by the SCAI, invites you to join us along Rue Centrale for a day filled with crafts, music and the magic of Christmas!

With over 80 craft stalls, come and discover the skills of numerous craftspeople and producers, unearth some original gift ideas and stock up on festive treats. Christmas decorations, handmade creations and local specialities will be on offer to immerse you in the warm atmosphere of the festive season.

Throughout the day, a series of concerts will bring the market to life. Daniela Simmons, the band Örgelifründe Murtensee and La Chanson du Pays de Gruyère will take to the stage in turn to treat visitors to wonderful musical moments and fill the streets of Avenches with the sounds of Christmas.

There’ll be plenty for children to enjoy too! Activities will be on offer throughout the day organised by Salut à toi l’artiste, not to mention a visit from Father Christmas, who’ll add a touch of magic to this lovely day. It’s the perfect opportunity to enjoy the market as a family and share precious moments together.

When it comes to food and drink, visitors will have several options for a tasty break. The Christmas Village chalet will be serving chalet soup, fondue and platters, as well as tea and mulled wine.

Whether you’re coming to wander amongst the stalls, meet the craftspeople, enjoy the concerts or simply share a cosy moment over a seasonal speciality, the Avenches Christmas Market is the perfect opportunity to get together in a warm and festive atmosphere.

Entry is free and the event is open to everyone. Whether with family, friends or simply for the pleasure of a stroll through the heart of Avenches!
