Divination is an attempt to make the future tangible. But who is actually allowed to make predictions—and who faces social, legal, or intra-religious exclusion for doing so? These questions were already debated in antiquity and remain relevant today. This guided tour examines such processes of negotiation from a religious studies perspective—from Cicero to data-driven systems.
