Gastlosen Festival

On 21 and 22 August 2026, the village of Jaun will host the very first Gastlosen Festival, taking place next to the Jaun-Gastlosen cable car parking area. The event celebrates the 20th anniversary of the Jaun Youth Association and invites visitors to enjoy a festive weekend in the heart of the Fribourg Pre-Alps.

Designed for all generations, the festival will feature a varied programme including live music, children’s activities, board games, a traditional Swiss Jass card tournament, and relaxing moments in a spectacular mountain setting at the foot of the Gastlosen peaks.

Visitors will also be able to enjoy a regional culinary offer with local producers, food trucks and specialties from the area, highlighting the authenticity of the destination.

The festival site will be easily accessible thanks to dedicated shuttle services and extra bus connections from surrounding regions, encouraging sustainable travel. The nearby “Gastlosen Camp Arena” will also offer accommodation options close to the festival grounds, allowing guests to extend their stay and discover the region.

With an expected attendance of 1,500 to 2,000 visitors, the Gastlosen Festival promises a warm and lively first edition in a unique alpine atmosphere.
