Composting Made Easy
Overview
Intro
How can kitchen and yard waste be turned into valuable humus? Barbara Rehmann, a composting expert, explains the basics of composting and shows what it takes to create a successful compost pile.
Composting is simple, sustainable, and turns what might seem like waste into a valuable resource for the garden. But what actually belongs in the compost? What’s the best location, and what should you do if the compost smells bad, is too wet, or just won’t break down properly? In this theory course, you’ll learn the most important basics for a well-functioning compost pile. Together, we’ll explore how composting works, the different types of compost, and which materials are suitable. You’ll learn how to set up and maintain a compost pile properly and how to easily solve common problems. As a practical resource, we’ll introduce our new composting guide, “Simple, Natural, Sustainable.” It concisely summarizes the most important information and tips and will help you continue composting at home even after the course is over. The course is designed for both beginners and those who already compost and want to deepen their knowledge. | World Nature Forum, Naters, Bahnhofstrasse 9a, 3904 Naters
