Intro
A chamber concert like a musical journey through time:
The Scirocco Ensemble brings the sound world of the Renaissance and early Baroque to life – colourful, virtuosic and full of expression. Works by Josquin, Palestrina, Senfl and their contemporaries unfold in an intimate atmosphere, revealing music full of dance, depth and emotion. A rare listening experience – refined, intense and surprisingly contemporary.The Murten Classics 2026 summer festival will be held under the motto of ‘Freedom’. As part of the Grandson–Murten 1476 commemorations, we are drawing on a historical narrative of freedom while also opening up a space for contemporary questions about new beginnings, courage and self-determination.
