From December 11, 2026, to February 14, 2027, Villa Ciani in Lugano will host an exhibition dedicated to three of the most influential figures in 20th-century art. Through nearly 200 works—including prints, engravings, lithographs, drawings, ceramics, and illustrated books—the exhibition explores the affinities and contrasts between three creative worlds that have profoundly transformed the language of modern art. From Picasso’s exploration of the figure and space to Miró’s poetic imagination and Dalí’s dreamlike visions, the exhibition illustrates art’s ability to transcend the boundaries of reality and give shape to new visions of the world. The centerpiece of the exhibition is the complete cycle of one hundred illustrations created by Dalí for Dante Alighieri’s Divine Comedy, presented in its entirety for the first time in Lugano. A journey through experimentation, imagination, and freedom of expression, offering the public the opportunity to delve deeper into the artistic languages of these three masters and discover how their works helped redefine 20th-century art.
