The Tour de Suisse is one of the world’s biggest cycling races with strong entertainment value. In addition to top-level professional racing featuring many international stars, there is a lot on offer for cycling fans and spectators. Attractive start and finish locations with the TdS FanZone, the Bike Expo, the Kids’ World, and a varied entertainment programme ensure enjoyable hours. And of course, the popular publicity caravan is an essential part of the event, driving about an hour ahead of the race and handing out great giveaways to spectators along the route. 2nd stage Locarno
Cycling holds a firmly established place here. Following the editions in 2017 and 2023, Locarno is once again hosting a stage of the Tour de Suisse. A special “closed-circuit” stagewith both start and finish in Locarno, for both the women’s and men’s races, allowing everyone to enjoy a unique 360-degree experience, not only by following the race as it passes through the region and engaging spectators and visitors along the route, but also by experiencing the atmosphere of a true cycling hub at Largo Zorzi and Piazza Grande during the starts and finishes.
