Description
One of the real pleasures of winter: once you have taken the funicular up to Plan-Francey, take advantage of the joys of the toboggan run, which is set apart from the ski slopes. The 4 km run starts with a fairly steep slope, which becomes gentler as you descend. With some pretty exciting turns to make it more interesting, the toboggan run will take you through forests and bucolic pastures to Moléson-sur-Gruyères. Take the time to admire the snow-covered pine trees, and surprise...The end of the trail offers you a magnificent view over La Gruyère region and its lake.
Le Moléson, at a maximum altitude of 2,002 m, features in the literature of Fribourg and is symbolic of both the city and La Gruyère region. It began to attract visitors at the end of the 18th century, coinciding with the start of Alpine tourism for affluent Europeans.
The regional gastronomy is a delight for the senses, with its traditional half-and-half fondue and pure vacherin, magnificent meringue with double cream, milk chocolate, cheese and smoked meats, soup and local macaroni... Make the most of the restaurant at the top of the toboggan run to taste some of these famous specialities!
An enjoyable tour includes the careful planning of the same. Please inform yourself in advance at the local information center about the route and weather conditions. Depending on the season and weather conditions, this route may be blocked or interrupted
