What better way to start the day than carving the first tracks in the freshly prepared snow? Before the sun rises and most guests are still snuggled up in their warm hotel beds, early risers in Lenzerheide are already heading for the pistes.
Getting up at the crack of dawn and heading outdoors into wintry conditions can take some willpower. The Proschieri ski lift and Stätzertäli chair lift both start running at 6:30 a.m. to take morning larks up the mountainside. Once disembarked, the skiers carve the first tracks in the snow on the still floodlit piste, revelling in the unique atmosphere that prevails up the mountain on an early winter’s morning. The Alp Stätz mountain restaurant offers a truly delicious breakfast buffet (served from 8 a.m.) for those hungry after their early start.
