래티셰 철도 알불라 라인 바로 옆 베르귄에 위치한 뉴 알불라 철도 박물관은 철도를 좋아하는 이라면 꼭 들러봐야 할 곳이다.
다양한 전시실과 현존하는 마지막 증기 기관차 중 하나인 <> 등 풍부한 원본 전시품을 지닌 박물관은 유네스코 세계유산이자 스위스 철도 중 가장 멋진 알불라 라인의 매력적인 역사를 말해준다. 방대한 컬렉션(1,300m2이 넘는 면적을 사용)에는 100년 이상의 철도 역사에서 남겨진 400점 이상의 전시물이 포함되어 있다.
박물관은 11월에는 운영하지 않으므로 방문 시 주의해야 한다.

알불라 철도 박물관 관람과 프레다(Preda)부터 베르귄(Bergün)까지 유네스코 세계유산 지역을 통과하는 알불라 철도 트레일(Albula Railway Trail)을 결합한 여행이다. 난이도가 쉽고 다양한 볼거리가 있으며, 배울 것이 많은 이 트레일은 약 2시간 30분 정도 소요된다. 멋진 풍경의 철도 길을 따라 우뚝 솟은 육교들과 정보 패널들, 바비큐 장 등이 늘어서 있다. www.bahnerlebnisweg.ch
알불라 어드벤처 트레인(Albula adventure train)에서 즐기는 짜릿함: 알불라 철도 박물관을 관람하고 알불라 어드벤처 트레인에 탑승해보는 결합 여행으로 래티셰 철도의 매력적인 역사를 직접 체험할 수 있다. 이 유서 깊은 열차는 2013년 6월 2일부터 9월 1일 사이 매주 일요일에 운행되며, 알불라 철도 위를 달린다. 알불라 트레일을 체험한 후 기차를 타고 출발지점으로 다시 돌아오는 일정으로 되어 있다. www.rhb.ch/erlebniszug

Sitting at the Controls of the Crocodile
In front of the museum entrance stands one of the last surviving Ge 6/6 I locomotives – the legendary "Crocodile". You can climb into the cab and, thanks to a driving simulator, travel the Albula Line yourself. An experience for railway fans and children alike.
- Good to know: The Crocodile is in the outdoor area – accessible in any weather.
- Tip: The model railway workshop by Bernhard Tarnutzer runs Tue–Sun from 3 pm.
Discovering Railway History
In the exhibition rooms, you learn how the Albula Line – with its spiral tunnels, viaducts and loop tunnels – was constructed. Historical plans, original documents and retired station clocks tell the story of the people and machines behind this construction project. A miniature layout in O scale shows the route as a model.
- Good to know: Audio guides are available in several languages.
- Tip: The museum's special exhibitions change regularly – worth a return visit.
Walking the Albula Railway Trail
The Albula Railway Trail leads from Preda to Bergün, following the UNESCO World Heritage route through tunnels and across viaducts. You can combine the walk with a museum visit: take the RhB from Bergün to Preda and walk back to the railway village.
- Good to know: The museum is right next to Bergün station – ideal as a starting or finishing point.
- Tip: Bergün is a car-free railway village – best reached by RhB from Chur or St. Moritz.
