Swimming pool right by the Aare River. The outdoor pool at Solothurn consists of the two-part historical bathhouse dating back to 1926-27 as well as the open-plan outdoor swimming pool with large pool and 10-meter diving board, which was added in 1962-64.
A plastic water slide was integrated into the old pool. The old classical style Solothurn swimming complex is typical of the early works of the architect and engineer Béda Hefti. Hence it has many similarities with the Bains de Motta in Freiburg and the Burgdorf outdoor pool.
