쉐브레에서 바라본 제네바 호수(Lake Geneva, Seen from Chexbres)
“쉐브레에서 바라본 제네바 호수”는 1895년에서 1911년 사이, 페르디낭 호들러가 쉐브레(Chexbres) 마을에서 제네바 호수를 바라본 13가지 버전의 작품 중 하나이다. 바젤 캔버스에서 우리는 높이 펼쳐진 초원에서 멀리 흐릿한 사보이(Savoy) 알프스의 풍경과 광활한 하늘이 비치는 호수의 수면 너머를 바라본다. 자연 속에서 호들러는 그가 초상화와 풍경화에서 시각화 하려 노력했던 물리 법칙을 깨달았다고 한다.
