"생 모리츠(St. Moritz)" 포스터
1930년 스위스 출신 발터 헤르데크는 생 모리츠 관광 협회의 그래픽 디자이너였으며, 기울어진 글씨체의 손 글씨 "생 모리츠(St. Moritz)"가 쓰여진 유명한 태양 심볼을 만들어냈다. 그 당시 헤르데크(Herdeg)는 태양과 손 글씨를 특징으로 하는 새로운 상징을 사용해 모든 사업용 인쇄물과 홍보물 모두를 생산했다. 이것으로 그는 최초로 휴양지 홍보를 위한 일관적인 시각적 요소를 개발한 것이다. 태양과 손 글씨외에 헤르데크(Herdeg)는 허버트 마터(Herbert Matter)도 사용했던 당시 최신 기법인 그래픽 요소를 더한 사진 합성 기법을 썼다.
