Nowhere is the Jura region more typical than in the Franches Montagnes near Saignelégier. And the mountain bike route of the same name runs right through the middle of the hilly mosaic of forests, green meadows and countless dry stone walls.

Biking in the tracks of the Walser settlers: easy start through mystic Safiental, steep ascent on the «Polenweg» to the Tomülpass, a biking highlight, great descent to Vals. And to finish, a peaceful pedal in the remote Val Lumnezia.

The adventurous tour around Rinerhorn to the famous Sertig Valley is known for its smoothly flowing downhill parts and the pleasant uphill sections make this tour enjoyable for anybody.

Easy stage from Engstligen into the Simmental. Pleasant climb to the Hahnenmoospass with spectacular views, long racy descent to Zweisimmen: first steep in the valley basin to Lenk, then along the Simme, biking bliss for beginners and families.

An adventurous circuit route in the surroundings of Cardada and Val Resa that starts and finishes in Locarno and presents for most parts a breath-taking view over the Lake Maggiore and the surrounding region.

An easy tour with trail highlights in the isolated Kiental. The stamina-sapping ascent on asphalt from Frutigen is rewarded with views over the Engstligental and a loop to the imposing, mysterious Bunderle rock basin with its thundering waterfall.

Long ascent from peaceful Val Lumnezia to Alp Sezner. The descent into Surselva on easy meadow trails is like flying. From Trun an almost effortless pedal in shady meadow woodland along the Vorderrheins with its shingle banks and islands.

The Suvretta Loop is one of the best tours in the Upper Engadine. Highlights include a more than five-kilometre downhill ride on a single trail through the Suvretta da Samedan and the subsequent ride through majestic Val Bever.

The church of San Romerio can be clearly seen from Poschiavo. It is located 800 meters above the valley floor on a rocky outcrop and has long been known to mountain bikers as one of the most rewarding destinations in Val Poschiavo.

A scenic bike tour in car-free Braunwald. Here, you can enjoy the unspoiled scenery and fresh mountain air. On an e-bike, steep slopes can be negotiated with ease.

If you believe Switzerland is a densely populated country, just take a tour in the border area between Switzerland and France in the Vallée de Joux to change your mind. Generally you are as alone here as you would be in the forests of Canada.

Schrattenflue mountain is located high above the upper Entlebuch region, forming the backdrop of the Marbach tour, a mixture of unexpected panoramic views and rustic Swiss mountain paradise.

The Pischa tour at the entrance to the Flüela Valley is one of the most beautiful and popular mountain bike routes in Davos. It consists almost exclusively of single trails, including the ascent, with a bumpy but easily flowing descent.

The lovely Gantrisch area is overshadowed by the fashionable Bernese Oberland, but the foothills of the Alps have much to offer, especially to mountain bikers. The Königsroute – the route of kings –combines the best parts into a fantastic circular tour.

From Flims Dorf this easy tour takes you to the hidden waterfalls of the Rusna «Cathetral» via the Walser village of Fidaz and past the mighty rock face of the Flimserstein.

When long-distance views are good, the Chasseral-Weissenstein route is one of Switzerland’s most impressive. The tour travels along the southernmost chain of the Jura with views over the entire Mittelland as far as the snow-covered Alps.

In 1997, the entire mountain biking world talked about Château-d’Oex, where the world championships were held. The region has been quiet since then, but the beautiful routes for anybody are still there.
