The Endless Trail above Sissach is the first official mountain bike trail in the canton of Basel-Landschaft. After a comfortable ascent through meadows and forest, action and adrenalin await: the obstacle-filled descent, with its curves, waves and ramps, is the highlight of the route.

One of the main highlights of the Jura region is the natural rock cirque Creux du Van, the largest nature reserve in the Canton of Neuchâtel. This e-bike tour takes you right up to this natural wonder.

Delémont is like the vibrant capital of the Jura region, but as soon as the city centre is behind you, you find yourself in an expansive hilly region. The Jura Bike route emphasises this most particularly on the way between Delémont and St-Ursanne.

Bilingual Fribourg was founded by Berthold IV, Duke of Zähringen in 1157. This university town marks the setting-off point for a 97km loop featuring 970m of climbing through the hilly landscape of Canton Fribourg.

This route begins in Dagro, a typical Malvaglia Valley village on a terrace with elusive views of the valley floor and the Riviera mountains. Dagro is easy to reach from Malvaglia with the cable car or via the asphalt road that climbs the length of the valley.

The ascent from Le Châble to the Mauvoisin Dam is rough, twisty and steep – and with no distant views for quite a way. You don’t catch sight of Switzerland’s second-highest dam until right towards the end.

You can discover the source of the Rhine twice within a radius of 270 kilometres. In between you can explore two Alpine passes, deep gorges and the frontiers of three linguistic regions.

The pleasant ride along the varied Mittelland Route is mostly on traffic-free paths, along lakes and rivers, through wide plains and peaceful valleys, towns and villages, industry and agricultural land.

Discover the beauty of the verdant Alto Malcantone in the vicinity of Lugano. The vast chestnut forests are particularly memorable.

A sportive bike tour of 56 km along the history and prehistory in the Ajoie. The route follows the French-Swiss border and offers a great variety of interesting discoveries and sites along the way.

A cool underwater world in cave grottos, a grim battle world at crystal-clear Ägerisee, an orchid, peat and insect world on the Rothenthurm high moor and a busy world of pilgrims in Einsiedeln, place of pilgrimage.

In 1997, the entire mountain biking world talked about Château-d’Oex, where the world championships were held. The region has been quiet since then, but the beautiful routes for anybody are still there.

The «Lac de Mayen Bike» is an easily accessible, 11 km loop along forest paths and across meadows. Moreover, it passes next to refreshment stalls offering a welcome break and famous, home-made tarts.

The Glatt and the cycling path wind through the flat Zurich Unterland, unnoticed by the thriving busy residential and industrial settlements, seen only by the unavoidable airborne mass of giant silver-aluminium «birds».

The tour «Herzschlaufe Seetal» leads from Eschenbach LU to Lenzburg and back for over nearly 120 km, all this away from traffic. The attractive E-bike route can be done in two days and shows an unfamiliar area of the cantons of Aargau and Lucerne.

From Lake Neuchâtel over the massive Chasseral and onwards to the first Jura chain with its sweeping views of the Mittelland region. In good weather the horizon is crowned by Alpine peaks. Winding descent to Sonceboz in the valley.

When long-distance views are good, the Chasseral-Weissenstein route is one of Switzerland’s most impressive. The tour travels along the southernmost chain of the Jura with views over the entire Mittelland as far as the snow-covered Alps.

The capital Sion shows its historic castles, churches and mansions. The lower Rhonetal is dominated by the high-alpine scenery of the Dents du Midi. A world of fertile fruit orchards and vineyards.

Riding alongside the Rhine, you pass the St. Katherinatal Monastery, then head to countryside, to the timber-framed buildings at Stammheim. Surprisingly we have repeated panoramic views of the Alps. Apple trees increase in numbers, the Bodensee is not far off.

From Flims Dorf this easy tour takes you to the hidden waterfalls of the Rusna «Cathetral» via the Walser village of Fidaz and past the mighty rock face of the Flimserstein.

The Graubünden Route leads along breathtaking stretches through glorious Alpine landscapes, from Chur over the Albulapass to Engadine and on a second branch of the route, along the Hinterrhein over the Bernhardinpass down to Bellinzona.

Tiersteinberg Bike is a gem in the diverse «Jurapark Aargau» and a pleasure at any time of the year – but particularly in spring, when the cherry trees in the Fricktal region are in blossom. The wooded Tiersteinberg reveals amazing views over the Aargau Jura Plateau.

The Aare Route follows the river from the small glacier lake on the Grimselpass until it joins the Rhine. After a racy stretch down the pass road, it passes the Aareschlucht (gorge) and deep lakes on the way to the Mittelland region.

Combining this escapade with a boat trip makes for a short yet spectacular loop on the shores of Lake Lucerne.

The Jurasüdfuss region is always good for a surprise – even among mountain bikers. A first-class mountain bike tour is hidden in the unassuming forests of Grenchen.

The lovely Gantrisch area is overshadowed by the fashionable Bernese Oberland, but the foothills of the Alps have much to offer, especially to mountain bikers. The Königsroute – the route of kings –combines the best parts into a fantastic circular tour.

The Jura Route leads through captivating countryside, remote fir-forested plateaux and quiet valleys with rushing streams. On this exceptional route you pedal along far from all hustle and bustle, through wide rolling hills from Basel to Lac Léman.

At Ponte Brolla the force of the River Maggia has cleft the rock, gouging out and polishing the gneiss. Life was hard in the Maggia Valley, the Ticino’s longest valley. Solace was provided by the church, as testified by edifices of religion and foreign governors.

On their tour around the lake of Geneva, cyclists will be rewarded for their efforts by the stunningly beautiful landscapes. 200 km of marked trails lead through 5 regions in 2 countries: Geneva, Pays de Gex, the cantons of Vaud and Valais, as well as the Chablais Haut-Savoyard.

An impressive conquest of the main chain of the Alps from Andermatt to Biasca in the Ticino. The Gottardo-Bike route holds the world-famous Gotthardpass, the lonely Piora high plain and the sunny Blenio Valley.

From Zernez the route leads through the unique National Park to Tschierv. You then reach Val Müstair with its world-famous St. Johann Monastery in Müstair. Finally you cross the border into Vinschgau and travel on through the pretty little towns to Mals.

This physically challenging route follows the Vispa from the Rhone Valley floor up to Zermatt. It passes historic buildings and picturesque villages, goes through vineyards, forests and over meadows as one conquers almost 1,400 m altitude. The backdrop: snow-covered mountain peaks and at the end, the Matterhorn.

The Torrent Trail from the Rinderhütte in Leukerbad to Jeizinen is one of the ten best single trails in Switzerland. It is one of the routes that any mountain biker enjoys, from expert enduro rider to cautious occasional biker.

Crans-Montana is situated on a kind of high plateau far above the Rhone Valley and has a lot of attractive mountain bike routes to offer. These were connected to circle the region in the form of the “Crans-Montana Bike Marathon”.

General Suvorov and 20,000 soldiers once marched from the Schächental Valley across Chinzig Chulm to the Muotathal Valley. If the troops had known then that they were using one of the most attractive mountain bike routes in Central Switzerland …
