The family-run Brienz Youth Hostel is situated directly on the shores of Lake Brienz in the heart of the Bernese Oberland. Here you can expect beautiful mountain scenery, a lake and typical Bernese hospitality. “Eifach emau düreschnuufe!” (Just relax and take it easy), as they say in Brienz!
The family-friendly accommodation on the shores of Lake Brienz is an ideal place to relax but also serves as the ideal starting point for a whole range of leisure activities. For instance, you could stroll through the Brunngasse, which was nominated “Europe’s most beautiful narrow street”. Or why not ride the world’s oldest steam-powered cogwheel railway or visit the Ballenberg Swiss Open-Air Museum. Of course, you can also climb one of the countless mountain peaks. If that sounds a bit too energetic, you could hop on a cable car to the stunning skiing and hiking area.
