Painting is conceived as a field of experimentation where the material both acts and is acted upon.

Altered, veiled, displaced, or revealed, it creates tensions between appearance and disappearance, presence and withdrawal. The work is thus constructed in an unstable equilibrium, on the edge of the visible.
