Do flying fish really exist?
Overview
Intro
Based on this cheerful and playful theme, the artists of the Neuchâtel-based collective Station balnéaire present illustrations inspired by their unique worlds.
Exploring this joyful and playful theme, the artists of the Neuchâtel-based collective Station balnéaire present illustrations inspired by their unique worlds. Ranging from the absurd to the poetic, and incorporating social commentary, their works engage in a dialogue and respond to one another. Each artist offers a personal and sensitive perspective on the contemporary world. Styles, techniques, and narratives intersect, giving rise to multifaceted and rich worlds. The exhibition brings together original illustrations and prints, conceived as fragments of stories.
The Station balnéaire collective is composed of five multidisciplinary artists based in Neuchâtel. All members of the comic book creators’ collective La bûche, they share a common creative space, La Station. Each is active individually in the fields of visual arts, graphic storytelling, illustration, or comics. As a collective, they participate in projects that blend their diverse worlds, approaches, techniques, and skills to create an eclectic and vibrant body of work.
