Psalms Concert
Overview
Intro
Psalms Concert
Organist Kaspar Wagner performs virtuoso psalm settings by Marcel Dupré, Julius Reubke, Charles-Marie Widor, Samuel de Lange, and Naji Hakim. The music is interspersed with short readings by Pastor Hajes Wagner and singing by the concert audience. Nearly 30 years ago, Kaspar and Hajes Wagner were last heard performing together in what was then their plumbing workshop. Even back then, both had been exploring biblical texts. In Heiden, their artistic work brings them together again for the first time. The program centers on the impressive organ works, which Kaspar Wagner performs with virtuosity on the 52 stops of the Häädli organ. The concert lasts approximately 75 minutes. Admission is free; a collection will be taken. We look forward to seeing you there!
