Short film night Schaffhausen 2024
Overview
Intro
The Short Film Night is making its 21st guest appearance in 12 cities in German-speaking Switzerland and will be playing in cinemas for one night.
In addition to a selected local premiere in each city, short films can be seen all night long in 4 curated programs. The audience can look forward to a whole series of short film gems: "Swiss Shorts" brings together four strong and surprisingly different films by Swiss filmmakers. Afterwards, we will be showing audience hits in "Highlights: European Film Award", we will be showing crowd-pleasers from the top class of European filmmaking. In "Ebb & Flow" we dive into cinematic (under)water worlds: From synchronized swimmers, to so-called seahorse parents, i.e. transgender parents where the man carries the baby, to walruses suffering from the climate crisis, these films sweep us along in their current. Late at night, we escape everyday life on a whimsical journey into fantastic animated universes in the "Stranger than fiction" program. Bonne projection!
