Sung-Yueh Chou und Tao Hai Yue: Tuning
Overview
Intro
Sung-Yueh Chou and Tao Hai Yue: In “Tuning,” they combine sound, movement, and space. Featuring a cello, handmade stones, and audience participation. Nairs. info@nairs.ch
Cellist Sung-Yueh Chou and multimedia artist Tao Hai Yue are returning to Nairs as former residents. “Tuning” is a collaborative sound installation and performance by Sung-Yueh Chou and Tao Hai Yue. Using handmade stones and collected sounds, they explore the quiet power of resonance, connection, and communication across separate realities.
In a 20- to 30-minute performance, the two artists open up the installation to the interplay of sound, movement, and space. Using the cello and their physical presence, Sung-Yueh Chou and Tao Hai Yue then lead the audience into improvisation. Visitors are not merely spectators but become part of the process of attuning: Together with the artists, they explore resonance, dissonance, and connection.Program
