The Lugano Comic Fair celebrates its 10th edition

The event confirms its role as a key reference point for collectors and comic enthusiasts, offering the opportunity to buy and trade comics and rare books, as well as admire original artwork by leading artists.

Among the guests are prominent names such as Lorenzo Mattotti, Tanino Liberatore, Milo Manara, the brothers Gaëtan Brizzi and Paul Brizzi (from the United States), as well as Paolo Mottura (Walt Disney), who will take part in signing sessions, talks, and workshops. As per tradition, a special comic will also be produced and gifted to visitors holding a full-price ticket, coordinated by Mario Gomboli and featuring a cover by Tanino Liberatore, who also created the official poster for this anniversary edition.

Among the new features of the 2026 edition is a 100-seat cinema room that will enrich the cultural offering with a curated selection of high-quality screenings, including a documentary dedicated to Milo Manara, presented at the Mostra Internazionale d'Arte Cinematografica di Venezia, and La famosa invasione degli orsi in Sicilia, based on the work by Dino Buzzati. Additional films are currently being finalized.

Activities for all ages will also be part of the program, including tournaments dedicated to Pokémon, One Piece, and Beyblade X, as well as role-playing sessions, creative workshops, and interactive experiences, making the event especially appealing for families.

The 2026 edition also marks the beginning of a cultural partnership with BD Sierre, which will return from May 27 to 30, 2027, with the aim of strengthening the role of comics at both national and international level.

To build anticipation ahead of the fair, an exhibition dedicated to Diabolik will be held from August 6 to 14, 2026, at Coop Supermarket Canobbio-Resega, and from August 17 to 25, 2026, at Coop Supermarket in Tenero, accompanying the public toward one of the most anticipated cultural events of the year.
