Intro
High above the Engadin lakes, snow-shoe hiking is a particularly peaceful way to pass the time. The Lake Trail is for all those who appreciate great views and tranquillity out in nature.
The cable car journey up to the Furtschellas middle station already gives you a taster of the glorious vistas that await on this snow-shoe tour. It takes around 90 minutes to shuffle along the marked trail to the Ustaria Rabgiusa mountain restaurant. Those who can bear to leave the tranquillity of winter nature behind will be able to sample regional dishes and delicacies – a worthwhile detour into civilisation. The return journey is along the same path, with the snow-covered lakes Silvaplana and Sils always in view.
