Explore the treetop walk in the Neckertal – 500 meters long and up to 55 meters high. The path leads you through the treetops of the Toggenburg Forest, past exciting nature stations and magnificent views over the Necker Valley.

The Neckertal Treetop Walk leads over a length of 500 metres through the treetops of the Toggenburg Forest. The path is 4 to 15 meters high, the viewing platform even 55 meters. The trail offers great insights into the forest ecosystem and is family-friendly. It is accessible all year round and combines nature experience with environmental education.

Walk through the path (1-2 hours)
A gentle ascent first leads to the treetops. The path on wooden walkways winds through the forest, past balancing stations, ear trumpets, viewpoints and information modules. The highlight is the free-floating platform. Children can learn actively at adventure stations. Even in the rain, the path is safe thanks to the non-slip surface.
- Good to know: Wear sturdy shoes.
- Tip: Plan time for the hands-on stations – especially with children.
Visitor Centre Tour (20-30 minutes)
In the visitor centre, an interactive exhibition on the forest world of the Necker Valley awaits you. You will learn how the forest changes over the course of the year or which animals live in the treetops. Specimens and digital stations make everything tangible. Children can get active at the workbench or discover forest sounds in the sound room.
- Good to know: Admission to the visitor centre is included in the ticket.
- Tip: With light luggage or backpack you can participate better at the stations.
Playground and marble runs
Swing through the air on the rope train, watch the balls whizz down the marble runs or test your skills on balancing paths: At the fun and games stations in the shady forest you can let off steam. 10 fascinating marble runs invite you to experiment. The balls are available on site.
- Good to know: The play area is located in the forest and thus offers pleasant shade.
- Tip: Barbecue areas invite you to have a picnic – barbecue food is also available in the Wipfelbistro.
