Opened in 1896 by the Badrutt family and still owned by them, this hotel has a legendary reputation. The Badrutt’s Palace Hotel has more than 157 rooms, including 37 suites with a view of the Alps. Sumptuous dining in “Le Restaurant” (15 GaultMillau points), the “grande dame” of the hotel’s seven first-class restaurants, or in IGNIV by Andreas Caminada@Badrutt’s Palace, which opened in December 2016 and has already won a Michelin star. Getting there

By car: from the north part of Switzerland take the highway A 13 as far as Thusis - from there the roads lead into Engadine valley over the Julier Pass. During the winter season drivers have the choice of driving over the pass or loading the car on the train from Thusis to Samedan. By railway: Intercity connections lead to Chur (change train) continuing with the Rhätische Bahn directly to St. Moritz. From Milano: "Bernina Express" - take train to Lecco - Tirano - from where the scenic and picturesque ride brings you up to the Bernina Pass - St. Moritz.
