Seeburghof, Lucerne

Wake up with a view of the vineyard and the highland cattle, graced by Lake Lucerne and Lucerneʼs very own Pilatus mountain. Here you can learn more about the organic grape varieties and how quality for both people and nature can be combined. Here you can experience pure relaxation, with views of the vineyard and a good glass of wine. Holidays near the city, yet in the heart of nature. The experience can be reached in a few minutes; you can get on the lake steamer at the Seeburg boat station or visit the nearby Swiss Museum of Transport. For your daily well-being, you will find the Seeburghofʼs own farm store at the lake offering many regional delicacies.

Colline de Daval, Sierre

The “Castel de Daval” stands on a small hill overlooking the vineyard and the Rhône Valley. The building is a former water tower, that has been recently renovated, and offers five comfortable guest rooms with the Domaineʼs wine names. The harmony of these rooms characterises the grape variety. For breakfast there is a buffet with terroir products, and guests can enjoy a free wine tasting. Seasonal products (asparagus, apricots, etc.) and wines and fruit juices from the winery are, of course, also for sale. An aperitif and a plate of local Valais specialities known as a Walliser Teller are available on request.

Cave de l'Orlaya, Fully

The motivation here is to produce wines of very good quality. This begins in the vineyard with meticulous work on the magnificent slopes of Fully. Strict control of yields, an entirely manual harvest and respectful treatment of the grapes until their arrival in the cellar, where work is also very precise and meticulous, allow for the expression of each grape variety. Located almost entirely to the west of the municipality of Fully, on the side of Branson and Vers lʼEglise, the 80 plots that make up the winery form a magnificent vineyard with many old vines. The vines of Petite Arvine, Humagne, Gamay and Pinot Noir are sometimes more than forty years old. Wine tasting and sale is also possible here.

Diroso Winery & Bed and Breakfast, Turtmann

The winery near Turtmann in the Upper Valais offers educational wine tastings with an interesting factory tour, optionally with or without catering. Individual combinations with vineyard and bisse hikes and aperitifs are also possible. The Baumann family cultivates five hectares of vines in various small plots from the Vispertal valley to Varen, and in addition to traditional Valais varieties, they also vinify some very special and unique wines. The winery in Turtmann is ideally located for this; within a radius of only 30 kilometres to the east are the famous vineyards of Visperterminen and to the west the sunny vineyards of Varens. In addition, they are the driving force in Valais in terms of natural viticulture with fungus-resistant grape varieties. These relatively unknown grape varieties allow them to produce grapes organically without the use of pesticides.

Wine bar FolʼTerres, Fully

Here, more than 100 winegrowers from all over Valais and more than 60 artisans are represented in a cosy, light-filled wooden pavilion in the middle of a 1,000m2 garden, with a view of the Alps and the nature reserve Les Follatères. Every day there are four red wines, four white wines and one over-ripe wine on the menu, an offering that changes every two weeks and is served with a smile and with information provided by the knowledgeable team.
