Simplon: Castagnata

Experience the Castagnata, a cross-border autumn food festival in Simplon Dorf celebrating seasonal products from both sides of the border. Visitors can taste chestnuts, grapes, salumi and wine from Trontano alongside local specialities from Simplon Dorf, including cheese, baked goods, dried meat and smoked fish. In 2026, the festival takes place on 17 October.

Gstaad: Fondueland Abländschen

Discover Fondueland in Abländschen, where eight oversized fondue caquelons invite visitors to enjoy regional cheese outdoors in the secluded landscape around the Gastlosen. The experience can be combined with a hike, a visit to the Berghotel Zur Sau or a trip to the SAC Grubenberg hut. An electric bus from Saanen makes the area easy to reach without a car.

Graubünden: Via Culinarica

Discover the Via Culinarica in the Lower Engadine, a self-guided culinary trail that combines hiking, puzzles and regional specialities. Along the route, you follow clues from one stop to the next, discover historic Engadine villages and landscapes, and enjoy 6 to 7 culinary stops featuring local products, including a hot lunch. The “Mountain Climbers’ Villages” route starts in Ardez and takes around 5 to 6 hours.

Ticino: Töira Cheese Dairy

Discover the Töira organic cheese dairy in Olivone, a family-run producer showcasing the flavours and farming traditions of the Blenio Valley.
